Underage Gambling Policy
Quebec Casino accepts no one under 19, and that rule has no exceptions. Here you can read how we confirm a player's age, what steps follow if someone underage gets through, and how parents and families can keep kids and teens off gambling sites.
Playing at 19+ only
- Nobody under 19 may register, deposit funds or place bets.
- An account opened by a minor is never valid.
- A minor cannot keep any winnings, even on an adult's account.
- Adults must never let a child use their account, cards or login.
Checking every player's age
We use several layers of checks so minors do not slip through.
- Everyone signing up has to provide their birth date, and accounts cannot be opened by anyone younger than 19.
- Ahead of any deposit, we verify your age and identity using official documents and trusted data checks.
- We also check that your location is one where we allow players.
- Our team runs extra checks at any time if something suggests a younger person is playing, such as a change in play style or a tip from a family member.
Details of the documents we use are on our Verification and AML page.
Acting when we find a minor
If we discover an account opened by a minor, or a minor using an adult's account:
- we close the account immediately
- all bets and winnings are cancelled
- once the facts are confirmed, deposits are returned to the payment method originally used
- any bonuses or Quebec Rewards points are removed
- we block the details used, to stop new sign-ups
We may also close an adult's account if that adult knowingly let a minor play.
Using parental controls and filters
Families have good tools to block gambling content at home.
- Switch on the parental control features that come with computers, phones, tablets and game consoles.
- Switch on safe search in your web browser and search engine.
- Use filtering software or your home router settings to block gambling websites.
- Limit app downloads so children cannot install apps without your approval.
- Speak with your children about gambling and explain that only adults may take part.
Internet Matters offers clear, free guidance for parents setting up these controls.
Protecting minors on shared devices
A shared tablet or laptop can make it easy for a child to reach your account. A handful of simple habits keeps it secure.
- Always log out when you finish playing.
- Stop your browser from storing your password.
- Keep your login details to yourself.
- Protect the screen with a lock, using a PIN, fingerprint or face check.
- Store e-wallet passwords and bank cards where children cannot get to them.
- On a shared computer, give each user their own profile.
As the account holder, you are accountable for all play on your account. Our Cookie Notice explains how to clear saved data from your browser.
